Recently, I’ve been making my morning cup of coffee work for me. Here’s what I’ve been loving…
1 cup of black coffee
A splash of heavy cream
1 tablespoon of Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil
MCT is found in coconut oil and is high in fat. This high fat content is fantastic for sustainable, sugar-free physical and mental energy and supporting cognitive function. It doesn’t have a taste, so you don’t even notice it’s there. However, I do recommend drinking your coffee through a steel straw (avoid plastic) so the oil doesn’t transfer to your lips.
1 teaspoon of Organic Maca Powder
Maca Root has been used for centuries for many different health benefits like hormonal balance, immune support, and improved circulation. This mineral packs a punch and has a nutty, not-sweet, flavor. If you like the nuttiness of hazelnut in your coffee, this is great all-natural option.
1 teaspoon of organic cacao powder
My mom has used cacao powder in her coffee for years, so this is actually something that I picked up from watching her make her coffee as a little girl. Cacao powder is filled with antioxidants, iron, calcium, and is vegan and gluten-free. It adds a subtle chocolatey flavor to your coffee without the sugar.
1 scoop of collagen protein
Collagen is excellent for bone health. It also has absolutely no taste and supplies your coffee with 9g of protein per scoop. I love sneaky ways to get things like protein and minerals into your diet and this is a great one!
