2018 was a huge year for women, and I think it’s safe to say that 2019 will be a progressive continuation of that movement.
I wanted to take a moment today and acknowledge the women who have inspired me this month…
My best friend.
While growing a person, managing two jobs, being a supportive wife to her husband, teaching little ones, and taking on everything that having a baby entails from nausea to new furniture, she still manages to be my person and the most supportive friend I have ever had.
She’s taught me not to sweat the small stuff, how to put others before myself, and never fails to call me on the moments I’m being dramatic (who, me?)
I am so grateful to have stumbled on her through a podcast episode on The Skinny Confidential. I don’t say this lightly, but this woman has changed my life. I listened to her podcast episode on a flight from New Jersey to Orlando and ordered her book as soon as I had wifi.
Her book Girl, Wash Your Face changed the way that I perceive my trauma, my goals, my dreams, my fitness, my relationships, my everything, and I am a changed person because I have absorbed her words. Her gratitude practice is transformative and has helped me to work harder toward what I want in this little life of mine.
I’ve watched her Youtube videos for the past five years, and have so enjoyed watching her evolve as a content creator and wellness advocate. I’m currently in my first month of taking Halo Kiwi Seed Booster for skin support and loving the effects (blog post to come…)
Recently, she announced that she would be stepping back from her usual 5 day-per-week posting schedule to focus on fertility treatments and product development. Her courage and transparency is so inspiring, and I can’t wait to continue to watch her journey evolve.
I’ve been a fan of Lo Bosworth since her days on The Hills and am a listener of her podcast Lady Lovin’.
She’s grown into such an incredible advocate for women and is unafraid to discuss the not-so-pretty parts about actually being one. Her wellness product-line recently launched on the shelves of Urban Outfitters and I can’t wait to get my hands on them!
my soul sister
Speaking of gratitude practice, I am so grateful for this incredible human. We met in 2014 working on a season of shows and the rest, as they say, is history.
She’s one of the most talented gals I know, and in such a crazy business I am very lucky to have her in my corner. I’m also unbelievably proud of her for booking a performance contract after years of music directing, taking the leap and moving to her dream city, and following her inner compass to where she feels she needs to be to create what she needs to create. She is a role model for me and always pushes me to be unafraid of asking for what I want in this world.
