Self-care is on the minds of many, these days. As an only child myself, the idea of enjoying my own company isn’t something that is particularly foreign to me, but it can be to others.
From on extroverted introvert, these are my favorite ways of unwinding alone, when I need to recharge.
Take yourself out to coffee. This doesn’t have to be fancy, it can be your local Starbucks. Sit down with an almond milk latte and pull out your current read. I even set an alarm on my phone so that I won’t lose track of time.
Calligraphy. It’s such a beautiful lost art form and so cathartic to learn. There are plenty of reasonably priced kits on Instagram and this skill can help take your handwritten notes to the next level.
Meditation. Meditation is so accessible in today’s world. I love to use the headspace app and find a quiet corner to close my eyes and turn my mind off. I used to think it was too crunchy for my tastes, but in actuality, it’s much simpler than you may think.
