I think we can agree that eyeshadow is having a moment in the beauty-sphere in so many different ways.

It seems like each month there is a new launch of eyeshadow palettes. Here are my favorites that won’t break your bank account:

My eyeshadow and I are very happy to stay in neutral territory each day, but the colors in this palette challenge me to step outside of my comfort zone. The quality of these shadows are excellent; They’re very pigmented and easy to work with. A bit dusty, but knowing that ahead of time can prepare you for any fallout you may experience (Come to think of it, I personally didn’t experience much, despite the dustiness).

Personally, I love to apply TONIC to the lid and lightly brush COLA FLOAT in my crease for an everyday look.. BLUE RASPBERRY and CHERRY ON TOP are amazing if you want to pop a color on the lid or in the crease. I’ve even used ROOT BEER as a liner with some MAC Fix+ on an angled brush.

What I love the most about this palette (other than the price) is the amount of looks that you can create using this one palette, making it great for travel! The warmer shades are gorgeous for blue or green eyes and the purple is great for brown or hazel eyes so it really can work for everyone.

Milani puts out a beautiful eyeshadow. I picked this palette up recently and was blown away by the pigmentation and blendability. There are plenty of variations of this palette by Milani to choose from, depending on your skin’s undertones. I love the second shade from the left (warm matte brown) for my crease. The two darker metallic shades are also beautiful for the outer corner or the lash line.

The only shade I’m not in love with is the first shimmer shade on the left. I found it to be a big coarse and somewhat hard to work with, which is a shame because the hue of the shimmer would have been really pretty. Other than that, this palette is a win.

This palette is great to travel with on getaways where you’re not planning on doing a ton with your makeup! Cut down on your packing and throw this palette in your suitcase to keep things simpler.

I really love this version in particular for blue eyes - the warm toned browns in the palette, in addition to the rust color, are perfect to emphasize those hues. It’s a total underdog at the drugstore - I wish these were talked about more!

Speaking of a palette never talked about, this one is beautiful and a great affordable alternative to the Lorac Pro 2 Palette. The pigmentation is great and they’re easy to work with. I especially love the cheeky names for each eyeshadow. If you tend to veer more towards the neutral side with your eyeshadow looks, this one is worth your money.

I especially love the shade NAKED (second in from left, top row) on the center of the lid to bring some light to the eyes. Another favorite SECRET (middle, bottom row) in the crease for a softer, more rosy look. My favorite shimmer in the entire palette is UNROBED because of the gorgeous golden shimmer under the darker brown pigment. It shows up so beautifully on the skin and would look gorgeous on so many skin tones.
